Before And After

if you go to Chouiefat school you won’t have any time
to stay with family or just have some fun
they’ll practically raise you as if you were a robot
until you go home and you’re the last one awake
studying for the 13 exams
that you get every single week
there’s science and maths and lots of other stuff
that make you stress out and really really weak
that you just wanna give up and run away
where you have some free time to smile and pray
for a day where you get to see your family
friends and especially get to know yourself and be free….

The Teenage Life Song

كتبها Radan Khalid Al-Qasimi ، في 10 سبتمبر 2007 الساعة: 16:17 م

We’re gonna party all night
with the fancy disco lights
got the moves ‘n’ the grooves
‘n’ love to dance til we lose

cause we’re livin’
and we’re given
the awesome teenage life

we’re gonna shout out loud
’til the neighbours complain
that they’re going insane
from the sound of our stereos
but the taste of our oreos
will make them shut the hell up!

No Title

كتبها Radan Khalid Al-Qasimi ، في 17 يونيو 2007 الساعة: 20:03 م

–NO TITLE–
her eyes reflected the history of the water
while his had fire in them that is what I have been told
her heart opened and grew whiter
while his stayed black and cold
for there had been many secrets and lies
that have been kept and told
oh why does this lady have to suffer
while he gets all the gold
He must share
he must care
he must be a lot more fair
Fights have been fought
lies have be stolen
there are lots of thoughts
that have not yet been spoken
He has tortured
he has killed
the large red sea
has covered all
a hero to be
when he will fall
he was always cruel and mean
the others indeed have seen
what he has been
Father to son
son is no father
father is as bright as the sun
son is much duller
Father to son
father to son
it makes no sense
he is not the one
let him be finished and done
while another rises upon

Antonio Sernatca

Antonio Sernatca

It has been a long time since this story has been told and I will be the first person to tell you it , and you will tell your cildren and they will tell there children and so on. Now I will begin to tell the famous tale. A long , long time ago there lived an eight year old boy named Antonio Sernatca , now a great example in life. He was Spanish , lived with his mother and was always cheerful and seemed like the happiest and yet poorest person in the world until one day something went wrong. On a sunny Saturday they were awoken by a loud bang on the door. Suddenly a group of officers marched into there old dusty shack and there before Antonio’s eyes his mother was shot by the chief officer’s golden pistol’s poisoned bullet. Antonio screamed his mother’s name a million times until he lost his voice , he became mute. The officers grabbed the poor boy , and sent him to peasantry , for they had no money to pay their taxes.

Nine years later he was sent to serve a 17 year old rich lady in the city. Her name was Sontrita de Santase. She was very attractive to antonio’s eyes but unfortunately she was engaged to the chief officer and that is why Antonio’s heart is broken. He faces the person who killed his mother every day and  polishes his shoes where his mother’s blood stains the sole of his shoes. He prays for revenge every night. Everytime he is whipped by the chief officer , Pablo de Monarares , flashbacks of that terrible day come to him. On Saturday November 23rd the wedding of Sontrita and Pablo became. Antonio was locked in a cage during the party , but he was in the kitchen. Everytime the door opened he stared at Sontrita in her lovely white wedding gown with a glass of red wine in her delicate tiny hands. He knew that he was in love. A few minutes later the traditional marrige song was played by a group of professional musicians. There he saw Pablo placing his arm around Sontrita’s waist then they walked slowly towards the Spanish priest. Just then a gun was fired from the kitchen into Sontrita’s chest. The gun was put in the cage where Antonio sat shocked and furious. When he tried to throw the gun out , Pablo ordered his men to excute Antonio for murder. Sontrita’s white dress turned red and Antonio could only shake his head in anger.

The next day at four a.m. Antonio was to be hung. A crowd of slaves , peasants , and poor merchants gathered around Antonio and shouted out "Execute!" Then the signal was given out. As they were going to kick the box that Antonio was standing on a knife flew over Antonio’s head and had cut the rope. He searched for the person who saved his life and there he saw Sontrita or maybe a girl who looked liked her. He chased her while the executers chased him. Suddenly the girl grabbed Antonio by the hand and stood next to a wall. The exceuters ran in front of them without noticing anything. "I am Sontrita’s twin sister Sontina and it is very nice to meet you!" said the lady while panting. Antonio did not know what to do for he was mute so bowed to her while smiling. From that moment Sontina knew that he could not talk. A few minutes later they headed to a small village where Sontina was know as the generous girl of all peasants. Everyone greeted her with loyalty. Her only response was smiling while saying gracies , the spanish word for "Thank you". They arrived at a small hut. They entered. "This is where I live" said Sontina while preparing two glasses of water. Antonio sat down while Sontina talked about her life and how her personality was different than her sister. She was the kindest person in Antonio’s opinion. Antonio and Sontina stayed in the village for a few months. During this period they learnt the sign language and now they can communicate. On the second day of the month December a letter was sent to Sontina announcing that her aunt was very ill and wanted to see her niece before she withered. She went there and Antonio accompanied her. When they reached they set strait away to her bedroom. She layed on the bedroom floor ,she was already dead. Her pale wrinkled face was once biege and clean . Her rosy chubby cheeks are now yellow and flat.Sontina sobbed for hours. When Antonio knelt down , to cheer her up, he found an injection stuck in her hip. He Sontina."Who would such a thing and why?" thought Antonio for a moment until he was disturbed by a gun shot. He turned around to see who had fired it. Just as he suspected! It was Pablo. He aimed the gun at Sontina and laughed as he pulled the trigger. Suddenly Antonio threw himself infront of Sontina , a bullet pierced his chest. Pablo outranged Antonio. The anger in him made him wish to spill it out. He grabbed Pablo’s pistol and shot him three times , two in his chest and one in his forehead. Finally justice has been served. Antonio’s heart started to beat slower. Sontina hurried to him. He looked in Sontina’s green eyes and whispered "I love you" for the first time in ten years his voice had returned to him just before his soul left his body.

It had been a very sad day for Sontina. Her grief and sobbing did not stop for three months until a handsome , young man named Carlos Picassco proposed. They got married and had two boys and a baby girl. She did not marry him because of his looks but because he had put the man who shot her sister in jail , who was working with Pablo to kill all the members of the family Santase , and had published a book about Antonio the great. Sontina told her children this story and everyday , they would read the book and practice to be brave like Antonio.

If hope was like soap

كتبها Radan Khalid Al-Qasimi ، في 11 يونيو 2007 الساعة: 18:26 م

If hope was like soap
So easy to find
That cleans all fears
Of those who are kind
In my dreams
I’m walking down the street
Death is near
And I’m seeking happy tears!
